Become a History GEM!

The GEM donor program is an exciting program that allows our members a flexible and easy way to support the mission of DCHS. GEM membership stands for Giving Every Month. It is an alternative to traditional annual membership, which replaces your yearly dues with a reoccurring monthly payment from your bank. No more membership expiration or renewal letters!

Our goal is 100 History GEMs.
What number will YOU be?

Open Now!

The 2021-2022 Exhibit, Rooted in Diversity: Douglas County’s Ethnic Heritage, opened Sunday, June 27th in the lower level of the General Crook House Museum.

Come and learn about the different people from around the world who made Omaha their home and built it into the city it is today.

Invest In Your Local History

A $30 gift enables us to cover the costs of research requests, conducting a typical oral interview, and more.

If this is not a good time for you to donate, we understand.  If you can give now, THANK YOU!

Cutting services will be the outcome without your help.

Together we will save and share local history.
