History and Appreciation of Antiques: Turkey Red Tablecloths

Study material culture and its impact on society through the history and appreciation of antiques. The class features hands-on examination of artifacts and explores the sociological, economic, historical and political impact of these artifacts on the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, as well as their implications for today and tomorrow.

Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays with each day offering two options for class times. The morning class meets from 9:30 a.m. – Noon and the afternoon class runs 1:30 – 4 p.m.

March 14th & 16th – Turkey Red Tablecloths: Mid-century jacquard tablecloths.
