Standing Bear Commemoration: White Man’s Words through Indian Eyes

2 p.m.- Historic Fort Omaha, Building #10, Room #110

This year, we are honoring Chief Standing Bear through a staged reading of a play about the Standing Bear Trial, the Indian Congress at the Trans-Mississippi Exposition, and how local newspapers represented them. There will be free book giveaways on stories of Standing Bear Trial as well.

3 p.m.- General Crook House Museum

Bison chili, corn bread, and refreshments
