The DCHS collections contain a variety of archival materials that document the history of the people who made Douglas County what it is today.
The collection includes early Douglas County naturalization, marriage, birth and death records, as well as assortments of plans, studies and architectural drawings. The Archives Center also houses family histories, genealogies, photographs, letters, diaries and memorabilia, including the Barker Letters (1860s), the Marsh Diaries (1890s), and the Dodge Papers.
