Where Omaha History Sleeps: Stones and Stories from Prospect Hill Cemetery By Shannon Justice:

Prospect Hill Cemetery is Omaha’s oldest and one of the city’s most historically significant burial grounds. It is home to pioneers, veterans, politicians, and everyday citizens who shaped the city’s early years. In this presentation, Shannon Justice will explore the rich history of the cemetery, share behind-the-scenes insights from current preservation efforts and improvements to the grounds, and highlight some of the fascinating lives uncovered through grave marker research and preservation. Join us for a unique look at the stories that still resonate beneath the stones.

Shannon Justice: Genealogist, Records Specialist, and Cemetery Preservationist

Reception to follow in the Crook House Museum Garden for refreshments.

Reservations are appreciated at Admin@DouglasCoHistory.org or by calling 402-554-9990.
